- Introduction and Scope
These General Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all purchases made by consumers through the website www.zayaafricanstore.com. The Website is operated by Zaya African Store AB (org. no. 559483-2387), Norsborg. These Terms comply with the Swedish Distance Contracts and Off-Premises Contracts Act (SFS 2005:59) and the Swedish Consumer Sales Act (SFS 2022:260). It is prohibited for us to offer you rights that are inferior to those provided by mandatory consumer legislation .
- Orders and Agreement
2.1. By placing an order on the Website, you make a binding offer to purchase the products in your shopping cart. 2.2. A binding agreement between you and Zaya African Store AB is concluded when we send an order confirmation to your provided email address. We reserve the right to cancel your order or parts of it if a product is out of stock or mis-priced . 2.3. You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase on the Website.
- Prices and Payment
3.1. All prices on the Website are in Swedish Kronor (SEK) and include Swedish Value Added Tax (VAT) . 3.2. Delivery costs are added to the total price and are clearly displayed before you confirm your order. 3.3. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout Card, Klarna, Google pay and PayPal. Payment terms are specified on the payment page. 3.4. We reserve the right to correct any obviously incorrect prices (e.g., pricing errors) .
- Delivery
4.1. We deliver to Sweden and other countries as specified on the Website. 4.2. The estimated delivery time is stated on the product page or during checkout. We aim to deliver within this time, but delays may occur. 4.3. If a package is not collected from the delivery point within the specified time, it will be returned to us. We reserve the right to charge you for the cost of the uncollected package .
- Right of Withdrawal (Ångerrätt)
5.1. As a consumer, you have a statutory right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason . 5.2. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party indicated by you (other than the carrier), receives the product. 5.3. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement (e.g., by email) before the withdrawal period expires. You can use the standard withdrawal form provided by the Swedish Consumer Agency. 5.4. You must return the products to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal to us. You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods. 5.5. Return of Food Products: Please note that the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly. This includes most food products, such as fresh produce and perishable items . By purchasing these items, you acknowledge that you waive the right of withdrawal for these specific goods.
- Defects and Complaints (Reklamation)
6.1. According to the Swedish Consumer Sales Act, your product must be free from defects. We are responsible for defects that existed at the time of delivery. 6.2. Presumption of Defect: We are liable for defects that appear within two years from delivery. If a defect appears during this period, we are responsible unless we can prove the defect is your fault . 6.3. Complaint Deadline: You must report a defect to us within a “reasonable time” after discovering it. A complaint made within two months of discovering the defect is always considered timely . 6.4. Statute of Limitations: Your right to complain about a defect is valid for at least three years from the date of delivery . 6.5. If a product is defective, we will, at our discretion and in accordance with the law, offer a remedy, replacement, price reduction, or cancellation .
- Liability and Force Majeure
7.1. We are not liable for indirect damages (e.g., loss of profit) . 7.2. We are not liable for delays or failures in performance caused by circumstances beyond our control (e.g., war, labor disputes, natural disasters, supplier issues) .

- Disputes and Governing Law
9.1. These Terms are governed by Swedish law. 9.2. If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, you can submit a complaint to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN). For EU residents, you can also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform.
- Special Requirements as of June 19, 2026
Please note that from June 19, 2026, we are required by law to provide a “Withdrawal Function” on the Website . This function will be easily accessible on our Website and will allow you to withdraw from your contract with a simple click. You will also receive a confirmation of receipt of your withdrawal without delay.
